 KEYBOARDING: This course is designed for students to become aware of the history of computers, learn computer technology, learn letter keyboarding techniques, improve keyboarding/language skills (knowing basic machine parts, building skills and accuracy), develop speed building techniques, correct formatting and style, and to mold professional business and organizational skills. After successful completion of this course, students will be awarded high school credit. This is a semester course.
OFFERED TO GRADE 8.
TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS: This course teaches the basics in keyboarding, word processing, Internet research, graphics and how to use Microsoft Productivity Suite. Students will also learn to design multimedia projects. This is a semester long course and required for 6th and 7th grade students who have not taken a computer course.
OFFERED TO GRADES 6 AND 7.
