 From the Principal....
Greetings! Fleming Middle School has had another exciting school year! This year, we continued to rebuild our magnet program. Our band, theatre arts, and choir each scored favorably in the UIL competitions! Our award winning SECME team placed in math, science, and IPC competitions. We placed first overall in the Mouse car competition and will compete nationally this summer! We participated in the Real Men Read initiative which brought men on campus each month to read to our 7th grade students. It was AWESOME! Our students excelled academically!!! We have gained a preliminary TEA rating of Academically Recognized! We did this with no exceptions nor TPM (A projection that the state uses to determine whether a student has made the projected score whether they have met the standard for passing or not). I am so proud of our students and parents for making the committment to partner with us on making their students better academically! Together we can!!!!!

For the 2010-2011 school year, Fleming will be going through a major renovation. This renovation includes classrooms, a brand new gym, new hallway corridors, and a host of other items. We are looking forward to having an EXEMPLARY 2010-2011! Please stay tuned to the web-site as we post our dates for our grade level orientations that are set to happen in August. If you have concerns about anything, please feel free to send an e-mail to my web address. We want to provide a "world-class" education to every student who makes Fleming their choice. We are still accepting magnet applications! Please come and join us as we take our Northbound train to College and Career Readiness and Academic success for ALL!!!!!
